Amelia M. Welms, 87, a resident of Annapolis, MD, died suddenly on
May 5, 2009, at home, due to natural causes.
She was on May 7, 1921 in London, England to the late James and Amelia Birchall. She was raised in London and has lived in various duty stations with her husband. For the past 16 years, she had been living in Annapolis.
Mrs. Welms was a retired salesperson from Baltimore Gas & Electric Company.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Louis Conrad Welms, who died in 1974, her late son, Philip Welms and late daughter, Leslie Welms.
She is survived by her son, James Welms of Parkville, MD; daughter, Barbara L. Weller of Annapolis, MD; and five grandchildren.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA on
June 2, 2009 at 3:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at the Administration building at 2:30 pm. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
