Alvin "Bud" Heilman of Severna Park, passed away in his home on April 9th. He died of pancreatic cancer after a brief illness
He is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Heilman.
He served in the Navy aboard the USS Montpelier from 1943 to 1945. He worked at Crown Cork and Seal as manufacturing manager until he retired in 1973. After retirement, he kept busy with his many business ventures.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Potter (Wyn) of Manheim, Pa. and Gail Twilley (Russell) of Millersville, Md. and his brother George "Odie" Heilman of Indianapolis, In. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Brian Twilley of Portland, Or., Christopher Potter of Lancaster, Pa. and Kelly Zimpfer of Souderton, Pa. and two great grandchildren, Caiden Zimpfer and John Potter. He is also survived by his fiancé Christina Hanson of Perry Hall.
A private memorial will be held at the MD Veteran's Cemetery in Crownsville.
