Aloysius (Al) J. Donoghue, 83, a resident of Crofton, died on April 4, 2013, surrounded by family. Mr. Donoghue was born January 5, 1930 in Washington, D.C. to the late Alexander and Margaret Donoghue. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was employed at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing for over 30 years.
His hobbies included shooting pool, listening to country music and he was an avid Washington Redskins fan.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Mildred Donoghue of Crofton; his three devoted children, Nick Sampogna of Annandale, VA, Rosemary Clutz of Severna Park and Dede Fowler of Millersville; his five granddaughters; Nikki Pope, Kelly Corin, Kari Paraschak, Nina Hessey and Anne Sampogna and seven great-granddaughters; his brother John Donoghue and his twin sister, Mary Hines.
Family and Friends may visit at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-6pm and Monday from 12-2pm. A Catholic prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 2pm. Interment Private.
