Allen Johnson

Allen Graham Johnson, 45, a three-year resident of Columbia, died of complications from diabetes Jan. 23 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Columbia after a long illness.

Born Oct. 24, 1961, in Maryland and the son of the late Elizabeth Graham Johnson and Thomas Peoples Johnson, Mr. Johnson was reared in Severna Park and was a past resident of Glen Burnie, Clementon, N.J., and Millersville.

He graduated from Severna Park High School and worked for the family business, Johnson Lumber Co., in Millersville. He was one of 11 voting directors of the company until his death.

He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Glenwood and the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland Cursillo, and a former member of St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal Church in Severna Park.

His interests included dogs.

Among his survivors is a cousin, Peter Minderman of Rockville. He was the brother of the late Catherine Virginia Johnson and Thomas Peoples Johnson Jr.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2892 Route 97 in Glenwood. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
