Aline E. Macknovitz, 85, of Severna Park died suddenly of heart failure Jan. 15 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mrs. Macknovitz was born April 24, 1922, in Baltimore, and graduated from Southern High School.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Harms and Associates Engineering and as a secretary for IIT Research in Annapolis.
Mrs. Macknovitz was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and Business Women Associates of America. She was also a Girl Scout leader.
She enjoyed cooking, bowling, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Alfred Davidowicz; and one sister, Irene Baker.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Edward P. Macknovitz of Severna Park; one son, Brian E. Macknovitz of Severna Park; two daughters, Nancy A. Pearce of East New Market and Marlene B. Burkett of Greencastle, Pa.; two brothers, Henry Davidowicz of Crisfield and Ronald Davidowicz of Wingate; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park.
Interment is in Holy Cross Cemetery.
