On February 20, 2010, Alice Helen Trimilove (Nee: Greiciute), passed peacefully away in her home. She was born on June 10, 1917 in Baltimore, MD. She returned with her parents to their homeland of Lithuania at age 2. At 17, she boarded the German SS Bremem to return to the United States. She was employed by several Tailor companies in downtown Baltimore as a seamstress.
During WW II, while working the assembly line which manufactured torpedo parts, she was raising her young family. She and her husband were supporters of the Lithuanian Radio Hour, St. Alphonsus Lithuanian Church and School, and seen each year at the Lithuanian Festival.
A resident of Carrollton Manor for over 60 years, she was often seen keeping the grounds of her home in pristine condition. She loved spending time in her vegetable garden, as well as, planting beautiful flowers.
Mrs. Trimilove is survived by her daughter, Peggy Alice Shaver and husband, Mark of Odenton; her son, Paul and daughter-in-law, Theresa of Severna Park; her brother, Vytautus Greicius of Lithuania; her nephew, Sigitus Greicius of Lithuania; her niece, Dalia Ezerskiene Haines of Baltimore; her grandchildren, Deborah Weymouth of Ellicott City, Linda Luber of Woodstock, Peggy Gayhardt of Pasadena, Christalyn and Paul Trimilove, Jr. of Severna Park; as well as, seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Anthony (Tony) Trimilove in December of 2007.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A Severna Park Funeral Home. A Mass will be offered on Thursday, February, 25, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Alphonsus Church, 114 W. Saratoga Street Baltimore, MD 21201. Burial will follow at New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore.
