Alice Mary Mirenzi, 93, a 66-year resident of Severna Park, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, in her home. She was born on June 23, 1931, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Luca and Anna Paganico (neé Proviano).

Alice grew up in Pittsburg, PA, and graduated from Peabody High School. On November 26, 1953, she married the love of her life, Joseph A. Mirenzi.  Though her husband was a highly successful teacher, coach, and administrator in public education, he openly stated that "Alice was the best teacher in our house." Together, they would raise five sons. In the years raising her children, Alice was a strong supporter of the Athletic and Band Boosters. She was an avid crafter who would design pieces incorporating seashells, driftwood, and silk flowers. Alice was a member of the Alter Society and the Friendship Club, both at St. John the Evangelist Church in Severna Park.  She was a member of the Anne Arundel County Concert Association for many years, and served for a time as Vice President. She was very passionate about music, but her faith was invincible. Alice loved to travel, particularly to the beach. She and her husband purchased a vacation home in Naples, FL and Alice spent many happy days there.  She loved flower arranging, cooking, and entertaining. Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by her family and friends. Alice had the unique gift of making everyone feel special.  She was a woman with a great capacity to love. Her devotion to family and friends was only surpassed by her devotion to her faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Mirenzi, her brother, Luke Paganico, and her daughter-in-law, Dawn Mirenzi.

Alice is survived by her five sons; Joseph L. Mirenzi of Baltimore, MD, Frank Mirenzi of Rock Hall, MD, Matthew Mirenzi (Tina) of Glen Burnie, MD, Christopher Mirenzi (Virginia) of Annapolis, MD, and Andrew Mirenzi of Severna Park, MD; her six grandchildren; Aaron Mirenzi, Anna Mirenzi, Diana Allen, Anthony Mirenzi (Gaby), Julianna Mirenzi, and John Mirenzi. Alice is also survived by her three siblings, Frederick Paganico (Theresa), Elisa Falcone (Joe), and Robert Paganico (Trona) as well as multiple nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 11 am in St. Andrew by the Bay Roman Catholic Church, 701 College Pkwy, Annapolis, MD 21409.
