Alice May Mansfield Minkel, 92, a recent resident of Arnold and formerly of Annapolis and Bowie, died of natural causes Dec. 21 at FutureCare-Chesapeake in Arnold.
Born March 31, 1912, and reared in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.,Mrs. Minkel graduated from Sault High School in 1932. She lived in Detroit, Mich., for a few years before moving to the Annapolis area.
Mrs. Minkel worked as a bartender at the International Lounge of the Ojibway Hotel, Ramada Inn and Hickler House, all in Sault Ste Marie. In 1978, she received Bartender of the Year for the state of Michigan by the Tabletop Association.
She was the widow of Edward Minkel and sister of the late Irene Potvin, Frances Morrison and Martin Mansfield.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Marlene Bagnall of Arnold; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home in Severna Park.
