Alice L. Heck, a longtime resident of Arnold, MD passed away on October 3rd. She was born to Charles and Eva Jacobs of Baltimore, MD on May 24, 1926. Alice and her husband George married on April 6, 1946. They were happily married for 67 years.
Alice, more commonly known as 'Nanny', was a loving and dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was known for her humorous, outgoing, and spirited personality. Alice enjoyed cooking, baking, working in her garden, taking trips to Ocean City, Maryland with her husband and family, and most importantly, spending time with her loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter, Clare Ramey of Annapolis, MD; Grandchildren, Gordon Pollock Jr. and wife Karen Pollock of Arnold, MD, George Pollock and wife Kristen Pollock of Severna Park, MD, Jessica Albrecht and husband Charlie Albrecht of Mount Airy, MD, and Sarah Rivera of Daphne, AL; as well as her great-grandchildren Ashley, Alexis, Anabelle, Alysa, Amelie, Caroline, and Ayden, and great-great-grandchild Kai. She is predeceased by her husband George Heck, and her daughter Alice Pollock and husband Gordon Pollock Sr.
Alice will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and other loved ones. Although she is no longer here with us on earth, her memory will live on through the things she has taught us, the memories we have with her, the many stories she has told over the years, and of course, the love we carry for her in our hearts.
