Alice Lee Adams Cerino (neé Hazen), 80, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025 at Locust Lodge in Pasadena, MD. The cause f her death was metastatic cancer.
She was born on December 13, 1944 in Baltimore to Alice Fitzhugh (West) Hazen and John Frederick Hazen. Ms. Cerino graduated salutatorian from Poolesville High School, Poolesville, MD in 1962 and immediately moved to the Annapolis area and began a long career asa medical secretary and surgical practice office manager. She married Dale Charles Adams in 1969 and adopted his son before two additional sons were born. After raising their boys, they divorced in 1997. In 1999, Lee married thoracic and vascular surgeon Michele T. Cerino of Piza, Italy. They lived in Pasadena, MD. Dr. Cerino passed away in 2016.
Lee is survived by her sons Dale C. Adams Jr. (Aymen) of Maricopa, AZ and Scott S. Adams of Reistertown, MD; her twin Anne Laney (Jim); her brother Robert Hazen (Barbara); her sister Judy Connery(Bruce); one niece; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her youngest son, Jason L. Adams in 2010, her stepdaughter Lindsay Cerino in 2016, both husbands, and her parents.
Lee loved her family, her pets, serving patients at her workplaces, and reading, She was a big fan of country music and NASCAR racing.
In accordance with Lee's wishes, there will be no memorial service. Her cremation is being handled by Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home and her ashes will be laid to rest in the West family cemetery overlooking the Magothy River in Severna Park, MD. Friends and family may make a donation in her name to an animal rescue service of their choice.
