Alice Bell (née Phillips) passed away peacefully at home following a 5 year struggle with stroke related complications.  She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Lawrence "Mike" Bell, a Purple Heart World War II veteran.

Alice led an active life and enjoyed the company of family and many friends. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, boating, crabbing, shooting pool, arts and crafts and contributing to the community.  She served on the original parent board for Bello Machre, was active in civic organizations and volunteered for many years at the Glen Burnie Carnival.

Alice was a member of Our Lady Of The Chesapeake Catholic Church, the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge, Poplar Ridge Senior Club, Stoney Creek Democratic Club and the Anne Arundel County Senior Centers.  Past jobs include Hutzlers Department Store and the Baltimore Washington Auto Exchange.  She is a graduate of Catholic High School, Baltimore.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Figallo, and husband Mike; daughter Darlene Hartsock and husband Gary, and daughter Sharon Bell.   She is also survived by granddaughter Patricia Figallo Brett, husband Chris and great grandchildren Noah and Annabelle; grandsons Ryan and Tyler Hartsock; and granddaughter Amy Hartsock Fridges, husband Greg, and great grandsons Alex, Zachary and Elliot.

She will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at the funeral home at 9:00 am with the burial to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.
