Alexander Daniel Sayres, 23, a resident of Arnold, passed away on March 21, 2017, at his home.

He was born on January 21, 1994 in Annapolis, MD and was raised in Arnold. He attended Broadneck and South River High Schools, graduating in 2012.

Alexander was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, everything outdoors. Alex loved to play the guitar and had an amazing mechanical aptitude. He could immediately figure out how something worked and how to repair or improve it.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Daniel C. Sayres.

He is survived by his parents, David P. Sayres, Sr. and Carleen Sayres; three brothers, Jeremy Sayres, Eric Sayres, and David Sayres, Jr.; grandparents, Carl and Edythe Smith; grandmother, Janice Sayres; and great-grandmother, Elizabeth Sayres. His aunts Karen and Alison, uncles Johnny and Jeff, cousins Kevin, Sean, Colin and Brooke.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
