Alexander Hamilton Mellon, 18, of Arnold, died suddenly at his home on October 18, 2010.

Born on June 26, 1992 in Baltimore, Alex was raised in Linthicum and Arnold. He graduated from Broadneck High School and attended Anne Arundel Community College. In addition, Alex worked part-time at the Safeway in Arnold. He enjoyed watching football and playing soccer and tennis. Alex was a scholar athlete on the Broadneck High School Tennis Team.

He is survived by his parents, Gregory and Deborah Mellon of Arnold; his brother, Sean Mellon of Arnold, and his grandmother, Laura Cullum. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth Cullum, John Mellon, and Hilda Mellon.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial visitation at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146 on Thursday from 6-7pm. A memorial service will follow at 7:00. Interment will be private.
