Alethea Marie Liptak, 73, a resident of Arnold, passed away on June 6, 2016 at Assisted Living Well-Compassionate Care in Millersville.
She was born on August 15, 1942 in Washington, DC and lived in Arnold, MD for 31 years.
Alethea was an executive secretary with COMSAT Corporation. She enjoyed hosting parties for friends and family. She enjoyed baking and cooking, cake decorating, ceramics, interior decorating, and water gardening.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Stephen M. Liptak.
Alethea is survived by her daughters, Liana Liptak (Mark Van Doren) of Arnold and Linnea Mealo (Keith Mealo) of Monrovia; two grandchildren; two sisters and their families; and her late husband's children and their families.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday June 14, 2016 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122.
