Albert C. Kirby, 89, passed away on October 3, 2015 in Georgia.
He was born on June 18, 1926 in Baltimore, where he was raised. He graduated from Polytechnic Institute and served in the U.S. Marines during WWII and the Korean War. After the Korean War, he worked for Western Electric until his retirement. After his retirement, he was a groundskeeper for a golf course in Florida where he also enjoyed his love of golf. Albert was also a member of the Severna Park Rotary Club.
He is survived by his three children, Stephen Kirby (Pat) of Georgia, Sharon Staub (Bill) of Westminster, and Susan Jelen (Robert) of Queenstown, and their mother, Pearl Kirby; his brother, Harry I. Kirby, Jr.; his grandchildren, William J. Staub, Christopher Staub, Kimberly Kirby, Michael Jelen, and Erika Jelen; as well as, 7 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 1:00 pm -4:00 pm at Barranco & Sons P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. Interment will be private.
