Agnes Kormann
Agnes Louise Kormann, 93, died Nov. 15 at Heartlands of Severna Park.
Born in Baltimore, Mrs. Kormann devoted much of her life to working with special needs children and adults.
She volunteered and taught for more than 15 years at St. Francis and St. Elizabeth Schools for Special Education in Baltimore. She was an active supporter of Boy Scout Troop 216, the Francis X. Gallagher Services and the Providence Center in Arnold.
She is survived by her children, Marianne Ratcliff of Baton Rouge, La., Frank Kormann of Leesburg, Va., and Gregory Kormann of Millersville; her adopted daughter, Agnes Mather of Linthicum; one brother Joseph O'Brien of Hurlock; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was the widow of Frank Wilson Kormann to whom she was married for 53 years.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Burial will be in New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop 216, 407 Phelps Ave., Glen Burnie, MD 21060.
