Agnes S. Green, 93, a resident of Severna Park, died on August 31, 2010, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, in Glen Burnie.

She was born on February 21, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was raised. She previously lived in Edmondson Heights (Baltimore County) for 30 years, prior to moving to Severna Park.

Mrs. Green worked in sales for 11 years with Korvettes and Lane Bryant for over 8 years.

She was a member of the Severn River Swim Club, West Severna Park Community Association, and St. John's Church. She enjoyed reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. She especially loved crab cakes, milkshakes, and cheesecake.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Oliver E. Green, who passed away in 1979 and by one grandson.

Survivors include her son, Dr. John Gary Green of Allen, MD; daughter, Mary Janice Bacon of Chapin, SC; son, James D. Green of Severna Park; son, Richard A. Green of Severna Park; sister, Genevieve Staines of Gambrills; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10 AM. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
