Adam Z. Sidorczuk, 67, of Severna Park, died of cancer Sept. 1 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a nine-month illness.
Mr. Sidorczuk was born April 10, 1938, in Bialystok, Poland, and reared in Poland before coming to the United States at age 18, serving in the Army and becoming a U.S. citizen.
He graduated from Lyceum 1 School in Bialystok and earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. During his career he worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp., SCM Chemicals and OLES Envelope Co.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park and the Polish Arts League in Pittsburgh, Pa. His interests included hunting, fishing, gourmet cooking, gardening, playing cards and computers.
Surviving are his wife, Angela Sidorczuk; one son, Mark Sidorczuk of Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Christine Schaffer of Horsham, Pa.; his mother, Bernice Sidorczuk of Pittsburgh; and one grandchild.
He was the son of the late Konstancy Sidorczuk.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 tonight at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, and on Sunday and Monday at times to be determined at Zalewski Funeral Home, 3201 Dobson St., Pittsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3058 Brereton Ave., Polish Hill, Pittsburgh. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Millville, Pa.
