Abraham L. Lorica, 89, of Glen Burnie, died Feb. 1 at North Arundel Hospital of complications of pneumonia after a brief illness.
Born March 16, 1915, and raised in the Philippines, Mr. Lorica worked as the manager of a taxi cab service in the Philippines. He fought in the Philippine military aside U.S. forces during World War II in the Philippines.
On March 2, 1940, he married the former Rosa Mabalay.
Also surviving are three daughters, Dr. Cristeta L. Gatdula and Felina Garalde of Severna Park and Evelyn Arizala of Glen Burnie; one son, Benjamin Lorida of Oak Harbor, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 tonight and from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
