Aaron Corban Lawson, 28, of Annapolis, died April 21 in Warsaw, Poland. He was a homicide victim.

Mr. Lawson was born in Annapolis on July 8, 1978, and graduated in 1996 from Broadneck High School where he was a four-year varsity wrestler. He attended Anne Arundel Community College, the Naval Academy Preparatory School and the University of Maryland College Park.

He worked for AACC in the Department of Public Safety and was a part-time HIV/AIDS education with the county health department. He was a business partner with Sam White in SAMRON International Inc., which is to open the Sunshine House Assisted Living Facility in Odenton soon.

He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps after serving four years on active duty with the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Infantry and last year fulfilled his dream of becoming a sergeant with the 3rd Force Reconnaissance Co. 4th Marine Division. He was an anti-tank/assaultman in the Marines from 1997 to 2001.

In his younger years he played on the Severn River Rugby Club, and was a rugby player for the National Rugby Team in Scotland. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Club and St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, and enjoyed being an integral part of his siblings' daily activities. His interests included weight lifting and physical training.

An avid reader, he had read the Bible, Koran, Talmud, Dead Sea Scrolls and the Complete Works of Josephus. He loved history, philosophy, world religions and traveling, and had learned many languages include Dutch, Spanish, Italian and most recently Polish. His plans included graduate work, his family said.

Surviving are his son, Gabriel C. Lawson of the Netherlands; his parents, Loretta Lawson-Munsey and Matthew T. Munsey; and his siblings, Brianne Lawson and Jacob, Madison, Caleb and Emma Munsey, all of Annapolis.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services will be at noon Tuesday at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 1601 Pleasant Plains Road, with burial to follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
