Robert Earl Jones, 83 of Severna Park, Maryland died on September 29, 2020. He was born in Hancock County, Illinois. and attended Western Illinois and Northwestern University. He is survived by his wife Norma and two sons Kent (Mia) of West River, Maryland, Michael of Severna Park, Maryland and two grandchildren, Vigs of Germantown, Md. and Ryan of Chicago, Illinois.

He worked in radio and television in Illinois, New York and California. He came to Maryland in 1968 to work for WBAL radio and television becoming the morning voice of Baltimore also doing freelance work in Washington and Baltimore for more than two decades. He flew small planes in his earlier years. He also enjoyed fishing, boating and camping traveling to all fifty states. He never saw a stranger, always wanting to hear their story. He loved music and was a poet and a storyteller, making the world a little brighter.
