Evelyn Novosel

Evelyn B. Novosel (Evie) passed away on November 22, 2012 at her home with her family by her side, one day after her 83rd birthday.

Born November 21, 1929 to Violet Warfield Burns of Odenton, she was raised and attended school in the Odenton- Millersville area.

She worked at National Plastics in Odenton which became Chevron, until her retirement in 1994. Coming out of retirement in 2000 she worked at WaWa on Bushes Frontage Road until 2010 when she had to quit due to her illness

On October 15, 1954, she married her best friend and life-long love, Joe Novosel. They built a home in the St. Margarets area where she lived until her death (in the house that Joe Built). Her life evolved around her husband, her son, her granddaughters, her great grandchildren and her many friends. She was a kind, loving and generous person who always saw the good in everyone. In addition to her husband and mother, she is predeceased by her brothers, John M. Burns and Robert H. Burns. She is survived by her son, William Novosel and his wife, Linda of Kent Island; four granddaughters, Victoria Holland of the home, Karen Novosel and her companion, Kathy of Church Hill, MD, Susan Corbman and her husband Roger of Centreville, MD and Jerry Lin Velez and her husband, Tony of Old Bridge, NJ; six great grandchildren; and two great -great grandchildren. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, November 28th from 5-8 pm and on Thursday, November, 29th from 10-11 am at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146, with a service at the funeral home, following the Thursday Visitation. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice or a charity of your choice.
